McAlisterville, PA, 1879, Juniata Farmer’s Mutual Fire Insurance Company started providing fire damage insurance. Up until 1966, the company operated out of the secretary’s home and included a coverage area of Juniata, Mifflin, and Huntingdon Counties. Expanding across PA and into other types of insurance, such as homeowners, general liability, and business insurance, the company grew into the Juniata Mutual Insurance Company that we know today.
