Meet the Staff at Unruh Insurance Agency

I started with Unruh Insurance in 1982 part-time with my father Bob Unruh while also working full-time at Conestoga Wood Specialties. I started full-time with the agency in February 1986. I have focused my time on sales, including both business and personal lines of insurance, as well as life insurance. We have won numerous prestigious awards from Erie Insurance for our sales and profitability.

Growing up with a father who owned an insurance agency, insurance was pretty much a part of our lives as long as I can remember. As time came for me to choose a career path, I wasn’t positive that insurance was my goal, but here I am, 37 years later...I have to say it worked out pretty well. Curt and I have been able to grow the agency to a size far larger than our father could have ever imagined back in 1977. But growing the agency isn’t our entire focus. What has been more rewarding is the impact we’ve had on the lives of our clients, employees, and the communities we live and work in. One of the main focuses we have at Unruh Insurance is to be a positive influence on those around us and to give back to the community, which has been the most rewarding part of my career.

I graduated from Penn State University (Berks Campus) in 2009 and started at Unruh Insurance in May of that year. In 2021, I completed my CIC designation.

After graduating from Penn State Berks with an Associate’s degree in Business, I started my insurance career. I have attained my CISR (Certified Insurance Service Representative) and CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) designations, and also won a Movers and Shakers young agent award from Insurance Agents and Brokers in 2022.

I have been working in the insurance industry for over 30 years. I started out as a receptionist and worked on earning my license to become a personal lines customer service agent.

Growing up in rural Northeastern Colorado, I attended Northeastern Junior College in Sterling for two years and then earned a BS Degree from Sterling College, KS and a Master’s Degree from Southwestern College, KS. I have been a College Women’s Basketball Coach for 30 plus years and have recorded over 500 wins as a Head Coach. Levels I have coached at include high school, junior college, division II, and division I. Being a property inspector for Unruh Insurance is certainly a change from trying to get 18–22-year-olds to run an offense and yelling at officials!

After graduating from Eastern Lebanon County High School in 2011, I enlisted in the United States Army Reserve. When I returned home from basic training I began to think more seriously about my career and entered the insurance field. I now have over ten years of industry experience including roles such as sales, customer service, and underwriting. I joined the Unruh team in 2024 and I’m excited to achieve great things with the agency. In my free time I enjoy reading, and spending time with my family.

I attended Shippensburg University and graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. I worked for a refrigerator rental company for 5 years and then spent over 27 years in banking. In February 2024 I decided to do a career change into the insurance industry and started studying for my Property and Casualty License. I am excited to be a Personal Lines Customer Service Agent for Unruh.

Prior to joining Unruh in October 2023, I spent time in the automotive float glass industry and worked in the federal security clearance adjudication process. I graduated from Edinboro University in 2012 with a B.A. in Political Science and Economics.

I have worked in insurance for 19 years doing customer service in the personal lines department. I joined Unruh Insurance in 2016 and have since obtained my Life and Health license. I enjoy talking to our clients and helping them update and understand their policies.

I graduated from Kutztown University with a degree in Sociology. I worked in the hospitality industry for a few years before beginning my insurance career in 2006. Since that time, I have held many positions, from customer service to underwriting.

After spending some time in both the restaurant and construction industries, I decided to pursue a career in marketing. In 2014, I graduated from Full Sail University with my Bachelor’s degree in Sports Marketing and Media. I spent some quality time with a non-profit and joined Unruh in 2020.

I joined the Unruh Insurance team in 2014 and have been in the insurance industry for 16 years. I have worked as an agent, CSR (in both personal and commercial), and receptionist. In an ever-changing industry I enjoy helping to make sure our customer’s needs are met in a timely fashion.

After obtaining my BA in Business Administration from Lancaster Bible College, I joined Unruh Insurance Agency in January of 2019. I enjoy working with clients to best serve their individual needs. It is important to me that each customer is given the care and service they deserve.

I am a licensed producer for Personal and Commercial Property and Casualty. I have over 20 years experience in providing competitive and comprehensive coverage for Individuals, Families and Businesses. I value my customers and enjoy the relationships and interaction of serving their insurance needs.

I graduated from Garden Spot High School and Alvernia College (now University). After several years in retail, I joined Unruh Insurance as an agent in 2013. I am licensed in personal lines and life & health. I am a Certified Insurance Service Representative and a notary public.

I started working in the insurance industry during my senior year in high school and have been with Unruh Insurance since 2002. I have earned my CISR (Certified Insurance Service Representative) and CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) designations. One of the highlights of my career is being named Customer Service Agent of the year by Erie Insurance Company in 2020. I enjoy working with clients and I want them to feel comfortable and welcome when they contact our agency.

Since graduating from Shippensburg University, I have spent my entire working career in the insurance industry in one form or another. I started out by working at Enterprise Rent a Car and then moved onto Nationwide Insurance where I did property inspections for 13 years. I then moved to Unruh Insurance where I have been ever since.

My family moved to PA when I was a child and I went through the local school system. Upon graduating from High School, I went to work in the administrative area as a customer service representative before I directed my attention to the Insurance field and obtained my license.

As a receptionist at our East Earl location, I enjoy greeting clients and directing them to our many experienced staff members. In addition, I support our Commercial and Personal lines so they can effectively respond to our customers’ needs in a timely manner.

After graduating from West Chester University in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in business management and a minor in marketing, I immediately obtained my PA Insurance license. By 2005 I was actively managing an insurance agency and received my CISR designation from The National Alliance. Ever since, I have continued to expand my insurance knowledge in various roles of the industry including producing and servicing commercial, personal, and surplus lines insurance policies.

I have been working in the insurance industry for 33 years and have been with the Unruh Insurance Agency for 29 of those years. I am licensed for both Property/Casualty and Brokerage Insurance and have had my CIC and CISR Designations for 20 + years. One of the challenges I love about insurance is finding coverage for clients that have insurance needs that don’t fit in the Standard Market Guidelines.

I have been a part of the Unruh Insurance team since Dec. 2016. I really enjoy helping the Commercial Lines staff with various duties, so that they can devote their time to YOU, the client. I also have the pleasure of greeting you at the drive-thru window when the need arises. I strive to make it a pleasant and stress-free experience.

I’ve been a member of the Commercial Lines support staff at Unruh Insurance since 2008. I enjoy a wide variety of duties within the agency, including assisting the Customer Service Representatives so they are more available to attend to our clients’ needs. Seeing clients and working with our knowledgeable and friendly staff are all rewarding facets of my job.

I’ve been a receptionist with Unruh Insurance Agency since January of 2006. I truly enjoy speaking with our clients. It’s the best part of my job. I look forward to greeting you by answering one of our busy phone lines or welcoming you at our Denver location. I strive to identify your needs in a friendly and professional manner so you can be directed to one of our knowledgeable staff members who can answer your questions concerning your insurance needs.

After I graduated from high school, I spent a few years working with infants and preschool-aged children. I sensed the Lord calling me into short term missions and followed that call to a small town in Northern Sweden about 3 miles north of the Arctic Circle. When I came back home I got a job at local insurance company and then soon took a job at Unruh Insurance Agency, where I've been since 2000.

After graduating from Messiah University in 2022 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, I joined Fulton Bank where I was able to spend extensive time with their commercial banking division, as well as time with their Financial Planning and Analysis team. After much introspection, I realized the gifts God has given me were not being utilized to their full potential, so I decided to take a leap of faith and join Unruh in February of 2024 as a Life Insurance Account Executive!

After 12 years in the medical administration field, I decided to pursue a career in the insurance industry. In 2017, I graduated from Harrisburg Area Community College with an associate degree in applied science. I joined Unruh in May of 2024. I am excited to bring my years of expertise in customer service to the Unruh Team.

I have spent 18 years in insurance, 15 of which were with a carrier on the commercial side. After deciding there was more to insurance than just rating, I moved over to the agency side. I like that every day is different and comes with new situations, which can grow my knowledge and help me to be of better assistance in the future.

I have spent 21 years as a Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative. I am proud to have obtained my CISR Elite and CPIA designations.

After graduating from Penn State University in 2016, I spent a short amount of time in the retail industry until I ultimately joined Unruh Insurance Agency in 2017. When I started, I was working part-time doing filing work in the office and have worked my way up to a full-time sales agent. In my time as an agent, I have been able to earn my P&C License and also have earned a CPIA designation.

I have worked in all different areas of customer service since graduating high school in 1997. In October of 2019, I joined Unruh Insurance after working for Erie Insurance home office in the Commercial Quote Unit. I do work and reside in Erie, PA with the cold snowy winters and beautiful sunsets.

I started out working for the Adamstown Branch of Denver National Bank. Kent Unruh came to the bank frequently to make deposits. At some point he jokingly asked if I wanted to leave the bank and work for him. After a few years went by, Kent came to my teller window again and I said "I’m ready to come to work for you now". Kent looked like a deer in headlights, but said "Okay, give me some time to figure something out". About a month later I was working for Unruh Insurance Agency and studying for my insurance licenses for home, auto, and life Insurance. After I passed my tests, I began a sales position for the agency and I have been here ever since (more than 25 years).
