PA Construction Businesses to Resume Work

Guidelines for PA Construction Businesses

According to Governor Wolf, on Friday, May 1, 2020, all construction businesses in PA are permitted to resume in-person operations. However, safety protocols will be mandated. A few of the rules are listed below.

Social distancing required
Hand washing stations must be provided
Ensure gatherings limited to no more than 10 people
Cleaning and sanitizing protocols must be implemented
Shifts, breaks, and work areas should be staggered to minimize on-site workers

According to a press release from the state:

“The guidance, developed from guidance created by the General Contractors Association of Pennsylvania, provides universal protocols for all construction activity, as well as specific additional guidance for residential, commercial and public construction projects.”
